First Annual BECA Pumpkin Walk!

Updated: Nov 2, 2019

Neighbours in Bradley Estates, Trailsedge, Eastboro, and Spring Valley Trails!

Join us on Saturday November 2nd, from 6 PM until 9 PM for our first annual BECA Pumpkin Walk! See below for the rules.

*The weather is looking gross and scary for October 31st...Just a heads up, if trick-or-treating is rained out, don't despair! We can all bring our goodies to the Pumpkin Walk on Saturday and hand out treats to the kiddies. They'll have their chance to wear their costumes and get their treats! We'll update with a new plan (earlier start time for the little ones) if that is the unfortunate case, so stay tuned. Fingers crossed for no downpours on Halloween Night!

The rules are simple for this FREE and FUN event!

1. Drop off your carved pumpkin and a tea light candle between 12 PM and 5 PM on November 2 starting at Tulip Tree bridge (park side).

2. Place it along the side of the pathway between the south side of the bridge (park side) and along the way towards Compass Street. Our volunteers will light the pumpkins before the walk begins at 6 PM.

3. Come back with your friends and family from 6 PM until 9 PM and take a stroll along the beautiful (and sort of spooky) pathway lit up with (sort of) spooky pumpkins! Consider walking since parking is limited!

4. Pick up your pumpkin the next day BEFORE noon. We will have volunteers picking up forgotten pumpkins, but one pumpkin is easier to carry than several! Your collaboration would be greatly appreciated!

On Facebook? join us on our closed group BECA Orleans for community updates. Since this is our first time trying this out, please RSVP on the Facebook event so we can gauge interest. If this is a success, we'll go bigger next year!
